Gather at 09:30 for an informal service with children’s groups & 11:30 for a traditional communion service. Refreshments are served between our services from 10:45.

St Mary’s Bearwood is prominently situated on Bearwood Road, opposite Aldi. We have a small car park for those with limited mobility but there is plenty of on street parking available on surrounding roads.

If you are coming by bus, the 11 and 82 stop on the High Street and 20 and 48 stop on St Mary’s Road.

Our 9.30 service is informal in style and particularly targeted at families. On arrival you will receive a warm welcome as we start the service all ages gathered together for lively guitar-led worship. Our children and young people then gather for their groups, during which the service continues with prayer, Bible readings, a short talk, and a chance to respond to God and one another. Every other week we celebrate Holy Communion and on the first Sunday of the month our children and young people remain in church for our all-together all-age service.

Our 11.30 service follows a more traditional pattern, celebrating Holy Communion each week with hymns and liturgy. Whilst we follow a formal structure, you will find that we are informal in approach, but follow the Church of England liturgy in contemporary language.

St Mary’s is a community of all ages and we are particularly welcoming to children and young people. Our 9.30 service is where most of our children’s and youth provision happens with groups for those aged 2 ½ to 15 gathering part way through the service, except on weeks when it is an all-age service. We have a creche area at the side of the church with toys and a safe place for babies and toddlers where parents can keep their little one happy whilst also being part of the service. Don’t worry about the noise, we are glad to have you with us! We have baby change facilities in our disabled toilet.
